Black Eagle Hose with ColorGard™
Parker Black Eagle hoses are flexible, high pressure, thermoplastic, wire reinforced hose assemblies designed for use in upstream oil and gas applications including, but not limited to, well injection, well stimulation, and supply lines for hydraulic fracturing applications. The Black Eagle product family features a nylon core tube with high tensile, steel wire reinforcement and a polyurethane outer jacket.
Parker is the only oil and gas hose manufacturer featuring ColorGard™ Technology. ColorGard™ acts as an “early warning” indicator which involves an additional colored sheath extruded between the jacket and the wire reinforcement and serves as a visual indicator to alert the end user of excessive external abrasion which has potentially compromised the operational integrity of the hose assembly. The ability to visually identify a compromise to the outer jacket of the hose alerts operators to replace the hose assembly, or in some cases repair the jacket, thus creating a safer operating environment for end-users.
