Tie Rod Construction Pneumatic Cylinders Series MA and Series MAN

Series MA and Series MAN Non-Lube Steel Tie Rod Pneumatic Cylinders, rated for air service to 200 psi, are the high performance, long lasting choice for all your air cylinder applications.

Unique “check seal” cushions with molded flow passages combine the benefits of floating cushions with check valve action, provides effective cushioning and quick stroke reversal for more cycles per hour and higher production rates. Cushion needle valves make precise adjustment quick and easy.

In addition to the unique “check seal” cushions and high strength piston rods Series MA and Series MAN incorporate additional design features that reduce downtime and provide improved cylinder performance.

• Heads and caps – Rugged square steel heads and caps provide maximum strength within minimum space and are factory-treated to resist corrosion.

• Piston rod – Hard chrome-plated and polished of 100,000 psi yield, high tensile strength steel material provides reliable performance and long rod seal life with less friction.

• Primary Seal – Series MA Serrated Lipseal™ is a proven leakproof design, completely self-compensating and self-relieving to withstand variations and conform to mechanical deflection that may occur

• Secondary Rod Seal – Double-Service Wiperseal™ wipes clean any oil film adhering to the rod on the extend stroke and cleans the rod on the return stroke

• Rod gland – Bolt-on, high strength gland removes screwdriver-easy on all mounting styles and bore sizes for fast, on-the-job rod seal replacement if needed.

• Cylinder body – Aluminum cylinder body with corrosion resistant, hard coated ID is supplied on 1.50" and 2.00" bores and steel cylinder body with chrome plated ID is supplied on 2.50", 3.25", 4.00", 5.00 and 6.00" bores (cylinders supplied with magnetic piston for tie rod mounted switches are equipped with aluminum bodies).

• Non-Lube – Series MAN air cylinders feature rounded lip rod and piston seals that glide over PTFE based lubricant to provide long seal and bearing life without the use of air line lubricators. As the cylinder strokes, no oil is expelled into the atmosphere with exhaust air.

Every Series MA and Series MAN cylinder is individually tested before leaving our plant to assure proper performance and leak free operation and comes with an eighteen month warranty.
