Tie Rod Construction Pneumatic Cylinders Series VE
Series VE Pneumatic Cylinders include innovative options that reduce weight and increase corrosion resistance, and offer the ability to sense piston position – resulting in improved system efficiency and reduced maintenance costs.
Parker’s utilization of cutting edge design systems, proven seal technology, highest quality materials, and stringent quality standards assure reliable service in the most demanding applications.
• “Jewel” Rod Gland Assembly – The “Jewel” rod gland is externally removable without disassembling the cylinder and incorporates a primary lipseal and secondary seal to assure leak-free service and longevity. The double service Wiperseal acts as a rod wiper to prevent contamination from entering the cylinder and also as a back-up seal in the event of primary seal failure.
• Piston Seals – Wear compensating piston lipseals are used in all bore sizes to assure leak free operation and optimal performance over the life of the cylinder.
• Piston Rod – All piston rods are induction case hardened, medium carbon steel material and are hard chrome plated and polished to a 10 RMS surface finish.
• Cylinder Body – Material options include steel with chrome plated I.D., aluminum, and composite to suit demanding application requirements.
• Heads & Caps – Heavy duty steel heads and caps are machined to provide concentricity for mating parts.
• Tie Rods – High strength 100,000 psi minimum yield tie rod material is standard.
• Piston Position Sensing – An optional magnetic piston can be selected for actuating tie rod mounted solid state or reed switches.
Every Series VE cylinder is individually tested before leaving our plant to assure proper performance and leak free operation and comes with an eighteen month warranty.
