Low Pressure Inline Filter Moduflow™ Plus Series
The Moduflow™ Plus series low pressure suction/return/duplex filter is widely considered the most versatile filter available on the market. From inlet port to element to bypass valve, Parker Moduflow™ Plus filters provide the high level of hydraulic filtration and long-term dependability so vital to today's hydraulic systems. These filters are being used on precision tools, sophisticated control systems, and hydraulic-powered vehicles. The improved Moduflow™ Plus Series element features longer element life, increased dirt-holding capacity and the need for fewer element changes.
Parker's patented Moduflow™ Plus features a one piece element design with a built-in diverter cone and an integral 35 psi bypass valve. (Please note that other bypass settings available to meet specific application needs). The patented, single-piece design means no loose parts and easier maintenance. This filtration solution also features Quantumfiber media, providing higher dirt-removal efficiency and reduced downtime.
A superior type of filter element has been developed to allow the Moduflow™ Plus filter to operate at top designed effectiveness. The pleats are deeper and there are more of them, giving the Moduflow™ Plus element 60% more surface area within the same filter housing size than many comparable filters. More surface means more dirt-holding capacity, less need for service and replacement, for example new version offers 34% more filtration area and requires 1/3 fewer element changes.
Flow direction always travels from inside to outside the element. This particular flow direction, the special element seal, and newly designed closed bottom elements for the RFP and ILP models insures all contamination remains trapped within the element as the filter is serviced.
This filter also generates less pressure drop than comparably sized filters. The unique diverter valve assembly, and inside to outside flow through the element, allows the Moduflow™ Plus to be configured for inline, in-tank or suction filtration. The flow diverter minimizes turbulence and pressure loss through the filter, improving system performance. This also reduces the potential loss of prime encountered on variable volume pumps when used with conventional suction filters.
Mount the Parker Moduflow™ Plus Filter inline, on the tank in suction, or return line. There are five possible mountings/porting styles available, allowing for flexible installation. The local Parker distributor can put together any combination of components to get the filter the job requires.
A wide variety of visual and electrical indicators notify the operator when the element needs to be serviced. The Parker Tells-All indicator provides details, at every instant, on the condition of the Moduflow™ Plus Filter. How clean is the element, or how dirty? Is the filter functioning, or by-passing? And did the service engineer re-install an element in the unit? The indicator operates on differential pressure; this eliminates problems with conventional mechanical linkages to bypass valves. The Parker Tells-All indicator does not even have to be mounted right on the filter; install it just about anywhere on your equipment to make regular checks more convenient.
